When we arrived we were a little dubious about going out as there didn't look to be quite enough. I suggested we gave it a go, I'm glad we did as it provided a good couple of hours of solid cruising. Portland is not quite as nice to sail in an easterly. Though if you head upwind towards the wall the water flattens off and you've got wide open space all to yourself (apart from the odd fleet of dinghies coming through!).
